Mutually Beneficial Cooperation
On the morning of January 27, 2026, President Xi Jinping met with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing during the Finnish leader’s official visit to China.

President Xi noted that Finland was among the first countries to have established diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China, and China-Finland relations have been growing steadily for the past 76 years despite global changes, upholding mutual respect, equality, a future-oriented approach, and mutually beneficial cooperation. He said that both the Chinese and Finnish people demonstrate perseverance and tenacity, and the two countries need to enhance mutual trust, increase exchanges and deepen cooperation to support their respective national development and bring more benefits to both peoples.
习近平指出，芬兰是最早同新中国建交的国家之一。建交76年来，无论国际形势如何变化，中芬关系始终平稳发展，坚持相互尊重、平等相待、面向未来、合作共赢。中国和芬兰人民都具有坚韧不拔、自强不息的精神，双方要增进互信、加强交流、深化合作，助力各自国家发展，为两国人民带来更多福祉。

Xi Jinping said that he attaches great importance to the development of relations between China and the Central African Republic, and is ready to work with President Faustin-Archange Touadéra to actively implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

President Xi stressed that facing the turbulent international landscape, China and Brazil, as important members of the Global South, are constructive forces for upholding world peace and stability and reforming and improving global governance. China and Brazil should firmly stand on the right side of history, better champion the common interests of both the two countries and the Global South, and jointly uphold the central position of the United Nations and international fairness and justice. China will always be a good friend and good partner of Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) countries, and continue promoting a China-LAC community with a shared future.
习近平强调，当前国际形势动荡不安，中国和巴西作为全球南方重要成员，是维护世界和平稳定、改革完善全球治理的建设性力量，应当坚定站在历史正确一边，更好捍卫两国和全球南方共同利益，共同维护联合国核心地位和国际公平正义。中方愿始终做拉美和加勒比国家的好朋友、好伙伴，推进共建中拉命运共同体。
