Promote Common Development among All Countries

BEIJING, Jan. 26--Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday held phone talks with To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee.

北京，1月26日——中国国家主席习近平周一与越南共产党中央总书记阮富仲通电话。

The two sides should hold firm to their beliefs, uphold fundamental principles and break new ground, fend off and defuse various risks and challenges, jointly defend the cause of socialism, and preserve the political essence of China-Vietnam relations, Xi said.

习近平指出，双方应坚定信念，坚持根本原则，开拓创新，防范化解各类风险挑战，共同捍卫社会主义事业，维护中越关系的政治本质。

He also urged the two sides to strengthen coordination and collaboration in international and regional affairs, jointly oppose hegemonism and bloc confrontation, and work together to promote the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

他还呼吁双方加强在国际和地区事务中的协调协作，共同反对霸权主义和阵营对抗，携手推动构建人类命运共同体。

Xi stressed that 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and African nations as well as the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges. Over the past 70 years, he added, China has always been a good comrade and partner in Africa’s quest for national liberation, development and rejuvenation.

习近平强调，2026年是中国同非洲国家建交70周年，也是中非人文交流年。他指出，在过去70年里，中国始终是非洲在争取民族解放、发展和复兴道路上的好同志和好伙伴。

On January 20, Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Faustin-Archange Touadera on his reelection as president of the Central African Republic.

1月20日，国家主席习近平致电福斯坦-阿尔尚热·图瓦德拉，祝贺他当选连任中非共和国总统。

He expressed readiness to work with President Touadera to actively implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and to push ahead with the continuous upgrading of the two countries’ strategic partnership, so as to deliver greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.

他表示愿同图瓦德拉总统一道，积极落实中非合作论坛北京峰会成果，推动两国战略伙伴关系不断升级，为两国人民带来更多福祉。
